What items are not allowed on board when flying with Wizzair?
When flying with Wizzair, it is forbidden to take the following items on board:
Firearms, ammunition and explosives, including hunting or sporting weapons;
Items and substances that resemble weapons, ammunition or other explosives;
Flammables (except for beverages containing alcohol, perfume, cologne and hair spray);
Radioactive materials;
Compressed gas (except for: carbon dioxide used to move artificial limbs and nonflammable gas tanks used in self-inflatable rescue vests);
Substances which can cause poisoning or infection;
Corrosives (except for quicksilver in thermometers, barometers and batteries for wheelchairs);
Suitcases and secured diplomatic bags with built-in alarm devices, lithium batteries or pyrotechnic materials;
Any object or material that would threaten the safety, property, life, health and corporal integrity of people on board;
Any material forbidden by law and regulations applicable in countries on a given route;
Any items that are not suitable for carriage because of their weight, size or other features;
Human remains;
Any items listed in the technical instructions for safe carriage of dangerous goods issued by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the regulations concerning dangerous goods issued by the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
Wizzair can refuse to carry passenger’s luggage if it contains any of the items mentioned above.
In addition, Wizzair forbids to take on board items which:
May compromise safety of the plane, people or property;
Can be damaged during transportation by air;
Are not properly packed;
Are prohibited by law, regulations or other directives that are in force in any of the departure, transit and destination countries;
Are not suitable for carriage because of their weight, size or any other features;
Can cause discomfort or disgust in people on board.
